About Our Local Flooring Store In Columbus, Indiana 

We're your local flooring store! Initially opened in the summer of 1982, Riverside Carpet One Floor & Home has served the Columbus, Indiana, area with beautiful flooring and skilled craftsmanship for decades. Today, our family-owned flooring store continues to provide the best flooring installations, luxury vinyl flooring, hardwood flooring, tile flooring, laminate flooring, and carpet near you. 

Founded by Don Waltz, we are a family-owned and operated establishment with a vast inventory of flooring, countertops, cabinetry, and other products. Don’s daughter, Joellen Martin, and her husband, Duane Martin, took ownership of the store from her father around 20 years ago. Sadly, Duane passed away in 2016. Joellen now runs the store in addition to her son-in-law, Blake Burke, so we’re on our 3rd generation of the store being in the family! 

As a locally owned business, we participate in several community involvement initiatives. This includes Clarity, which is a pregnancy care center in the area. Riverside sponsors part of its annual golf tournament to raise funds for the organization. In addition to our Riverside Carpet One location, we have stores in Seymour, Indiana, Shepherdsville, and Louisville, Kentucky. We’re also a member of the Carpet One flooring cooperative, the largest co-op of its nature in the nation. This gives us more buying power as a local business, so we can compete with big box stores while staying true to our roots.

We are constantly striving to make the floor buying process more accessible and to bring you competitive prices.
